It's scary - there's a guy selling a similar "get rich quick" by selling postcards on ebay ebook for $19.95 (funny but he doesn't seem to do very well selling postcard's himself!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=102483&item=5594535611&rd=1

OOPS! He USED to sell postcards - now it looks like he found he can make more money by selling a book about selling postcards than he could selling postcards. Just what we the category needs - a bunch of people trying to get rich selling postcards!!

I can tell anyone who wants to know the REAL secret about postcard selling on ebay : YOU WON'T GET RICH!! You will pay high fees and have a very low sell through rate.

"Don't let the big post card dealers take all the profit". I think he is talking about you neglus.

I will bet you have probably sold more $25.00 postcards than he has. I know I have sold a few some even higher but I am not going to tell my secret on how I did it. Are you neglus?

That sure was an interesting read. You can't buy postcards if there isn't any around to buy. Milwaukee has only 1 large post card show and I think it is coming up soon. I didn't make it last year and I doubt if I will this year either.

neglus,

ewwwwwwwww....the $19.95 book is just as bad! the one i showed the link for is spending a small fortune on a google ad campaign and the postcards they're selling are well, rather ordinary. i figure they'll go broke with google.

i don't know about you but selling postcards suspiciously resembles "work" to me. i love selling cards but it sure isn't "easy money."

can you imagine the people who are going to go out and buy oh, let's say about 100 postcards of washington, d.c., another bunch from plymouth, massachusetts, etc., etc.? boy, do they have a big surprise coming! they'll soon learn why the cards were cheap to buy

Easy money!! I work 18 hours a day 7 days a week most of the year (I'm kind of slacking off just now because of the holiday) and I am not getting "rich"! There is no easy way to sell postcards on ebay - they are a one by one proposition.

I guess the best way to make easy money on ebay is to write an ebook about making easy money LOL Maybe we should co-author an ebay "How to make easy money by writing and selling a get rich quick book on ebay"! There's a sucker born every minute

btw, have you used this $99 (gulp!) U.S. Post Offices CD? i don't hear much about it, but it does represent tons and tons of research and the few people i know who do have it think it's great.

Every hobby has the "Know All,Tell All" guides to being successful. From my perspective being successful at anything takes education and time (experience). Postcards run from worthless to extremely valuable. The large experienced dealers who have strong personal networks and sources of supply do the best. The toughest thing for me is buying. I am sure that my sellthru rate would excede 90% with high profit; If I could selectively purchase better cards. It did my first few years. Now,everything easily available has been picked over and whats most available are common cards that have no value. Even auctions have a high percentage of bad material. No book can teach you how to find the deals. Picking through dealer inventory for the right cards is getting tougher all the time. Chuck

Reminds me of when my husband and I had a Auto Upholstery business in Florida. It would never fail, we would be on a car lot doing a job and some kid that looked about 16 would come along and tell us how easy it was and that he had been doing that kind of work for 20 years and was an expert. Even though we went to to a trade school to learn it,it took years of hands on experience to be able to do the work. E-Bay is like that, takes a lot of work to be able to make a go of it.
