I suppose in all their wisdom eBay has decided to mess with PayPal. When I clicked for details on a payment notice this morning there is no longer a breakdown showing fees! I have to go to the 'my account' tab. Do they think by making it harder to check out the fees they can slip in an increase and we won't notice it? I wish they would just leave well enough alone for once!

This is not good. For every donation for Ryan, I print out the details page that shows what the fees are. I'm paying the fees as my part of the donation. What do I use for a record now? Me thinks they best put it back! Isn't hiding or attempting to hide the fees we're paying a bit illegal?

Edited to add: I emailed PayPal to find out what's up with this. I explained why I need that information on the Details page. Not that it's going to do any good, but I think everyone should email them about this.

OMG, here's another one: The amount you see in your account does not include the fees being taken out!!!! Be careful, be very careful when determining what is in your account. My account said I had $24.00 in it. I actually only had $23.12 in it. How did I know? I withdrew $23.00 to leave $1 in my account and was actually left with $.12.

Cheryl, I e-mailed them as well. Let's compare notes when/if we get responses. At the very least, they could make it an option to display.

Bump.. Any answers? I especially did not notice that my account total did not take out fees. Are we supposed to add up what they say was paid and then look in 'my account' and subtract fees. Using what date? When did they stop doing simple math?

3 days and counting and still no reply or response whatsoever... Of course I'm not holding my breath either.

Here's the response I got when I asked why the fee's were no longer listed on the detail page.

They don't have a clue.

Hi my name is Maria Ellaine, thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize
for the delay in responding to your service request.

If you are referring to payment fee, amount deducted from the payment you
are receiving, it is still under transaction details along with the total
amount and net amount received. You might want to check if the payment your
checking is a 'Completed' payment. We would appreciate if you could give us
more information to be able to detect the problem. We do apologize for the
inconvenience you are having due to this matter.

If you have an issue of immediate concern and need to contact PayPal by
phone, please call our Customer Service agents at 402-935-2050.

For future reference, this information is also located in the Help Center,
and is easily accessible by following these steps:

1. Click https://www.paypal.com/help
2. Go to 'Contact Us' under Categories on Help Center page
