I purchased a Delft plate at the weekend. It has the name Boch on it, followed by fr. I have found a lot of Boch made in Belgium, but nothing with the fr after it and I don't know if it stands for France, or many the artist initials. Sorry the picture isn't very good, it's the best I could get.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kovel's Pottery Dictionary shows a very similar mark, Boch Freres (brothers) -- including the Delft but with Belgium and La Louviere under the Boch. Timeline: present. Could be knockoff, or a later mark (this copy of the book is copyrighted 1986 I see).

birgittaw: Thank you for the help. We know the people that we purchased it from and they bought it in the 1960's in Holland, so maybe it is an earlier mark.
