I don't take credit card payments with PayPal. Most items I sell are under 10.00 so, can't afford the extra charges.

I have just a few higher priced things to sell & what I would like to know is can I mention in those auctions that I can accept BidPay.

Jane:

YES you can mention BidPay, as it is again feeBay approved:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html

Payment Services permitted on eBay: Allpay.net, Bidpay, cash2india, CertaPay, Checkfree.com, hyperwallet.com, Moneybookers.com, Nochex.com, Ozpay.biz, Paymate.com.au, Propay.com, XOOM

The only caveat would be if you were a mamber of "PayPal Preferred", which you ain't since you be doing the PERSONAL account thingy

Jane,

Be aware that the "new" BidPay is no longer free to sellers. If you wish to avoid any extra charges then you might want to skip BidPay.

agitprop is totally CORRECT! As far as I can tell, there's NO advantage of the new & un-improved BidPay over PayPal...

They NO LONGER send MO's, but download the money into yer CHECKING ACCOUNT! BidPay might be slightly safer than PayPal for international transactions...or might not...

Hi Tom & agitprop, sorry I didn't see the last two replies.

I do know that there will be a charge for me with BidPay, but as I said I will accept in on the few larger items I sell.

Jane,

I'd ask my USA buyers to send a regular money order (postal or 7-11 variety) as they are inexpensive and easy to cash. The "new" BidPay payment model is similar to PayPal and has enough weasel words to protect BidPay against payment reversal, but not you. Stick with money orders or ask your bank if they offer free bank transfers. I've ben using online banking for years and most customers pay direct into my bank accounts (in their country).
