Anybody have a easy way to revise all your store items to meet the new rules? At this rate I'll be doing revisions in a nursing home.

What are the new rules apart from putting in domestic shipping cost?

There's the new link policy, no email address in listings etc. Also you have to have a stated refund policy in the appropriate place on the eBay listing form as well as handling time (we just got the capability in Vendio to include the refund policy but still don't have handling time). Who knows what else they will come up with before they're done. I guess that they don't realize that we would rather make changes once than bit by bit - I wish they would just wait until they have it all set out and not phase it in. This is madness!

It sure is madness! I have spent hours adding shipping costs to my store items, now I have to start again with refund policy! Is is alright to put "no refund on craft books"? People would start copying patterns they want and then returning it if I offer refunds. Also, what is handling time? If it is the time between getting the payment and mailing the item, it will vary according to weekends (no weekend mail where we are in Canada), holidays, etc.

Yes, you can say "No refunds".

EBay said that it did not matter (yet!)
what your refund policy is, as long the field is filled out.

We encourage you to accept returns, as this increases buyer satisfaction. However, you don't have to accept returns. You may specify "No Returns Accepted" as your return policy.<

Thanks for the information. I sell mostly craft books and yarn, and I don't feel I should accept returns on them, some people copy patterns, or use part of the yarn skeins and then try and return them, so I don't want to get into that.

Will they still allow links like Vendio taking buyers to their Vendio Store or are they going to change that?

Sorry to keep asking questions. I just started revising my store items again, and I just CANNOT see where I add return policy. Can someone tell me where it is, I know my eyesight is not good, but I have looked and looked, and I can't see it.

I am so glad I dont have an Ebay store!
For some of you who have many items in your store,is there a way to create a new store with the same items but meeting new requirements, delete the old store and launch the new one?
Say if Vendio has a feature which will allow you to make changes to many items.

If you have Ebay's Selling Manager (or maybe it's just Selling Manager Pro) you can do a bulk edit to add handling time to your listings. That program has been so buggy that I stopped using it a couple of years ago. Perhaps it is more reliable now. I would suggest running a test of a few items to make sure that the change goes through and that nothing else changes.

You can add your return policy in bulk by using the "Edit" function of Turbolister 2. I have not been able to get it to work on all of my items but if you have smaller inventories it might work great.

First you have to Download Turbolister 2 and then you have to update. Then you have to import your active inventory from eBay and then you can edit specific fields, one of them is Return policy. You can also fix the shipping through the edit function. There is no field for "Handling Time". The last step is "Synching" your changes with your active items. Beth said that her items disappeared for about 12 hours but did show up again.

I couldn't get it to work for all of my listings.

Supposedly File Exchange should work but I haven't figured out how to do that. I don't see a field for "Return POlicy" for one thing.

All of these tools are EBay's - all are buggy and it looks like, so far, you can't just use one.

Does anyone know anything about items in the collectibles category where no item condition is offered? If I remember correctly, eBay says item condition will be required on ALL listings except tickets, classified and few other specific things, none of which are crystals and minerals.

I was hoping to at least get this part of the revisions out of the way, but am stymied.
