I followed your advise and started leaving information and packing slips with the package about my feed back and return policy etc in each parcel what a brightner for friday from this message;
Dear leads2,
Thank you for the note explaining what ebay has done with the rating system. I have rated according to 3 normal, 4 good service, above good service. One seller seemed quite put out. I was not aware that a 4 was failing in their eyes. I guess they are blind or just jerks. I will address feedback differently in the future. I would have rated you at a 5 anyway but it will certainly be now.

I too have had some good success with feedback since I began warning the buyers about what FB actually means.

I've always included a shipping letter and I too changed it to give a brief explaination of the DSR's. My 30 day DSR's were 4.9-4.9-4.9-4.8. I would have to say the letter worked because I didn't do anything else different that I can recall.

I don't use a shipping letter, but I did include it in my auction description and payment received notification, and it does help, although sometimes I hate myself for begging for good dsr's. It makes me feel so cheap : )
