i just sold a heavy wall phone to a guy in spain ,the only problem is ,i stated U.S. ONLY no overseas shipping,
how long would you wait before sending a second chance offer to the next highest bidder ,
the winner has only 5 feedbacks.
thanks

I wouldn't wait - do it now before the second bidder finds another.

I send second chance instantly if the first buyer is not viable.

Merrie: You'd then have explaining to do to the winning bidder, wouldn't you? And what's to stop him from leaving a neg? Just wondering.

roadsmith: agmay says only US shipping, so that would mean the sale is void to me.

Who benefits from waiting the 12 hours?

Just a passing curiousity as all of the advice points to doing it immediately - then you choose to not follow any of the advice....

Is there a reason why you asked and then do the exact opposite?

i am not doing the opposite,i just choose to give him a little time ,and guess what ,he writes and says try shipping ups to me ,again i write, USA only
again he writes ,ship ups to me,the last email i sent him was short and to the point ,i have sent my second chance offer.

the reason to give him more time is that i do not want my 100 % FB screwed up , or at least not screwed up today.

Well, from the pinnacle of prognostication, one will predict you will get a negative from this one.

And, waiting the 12 hours will not help you avoid it -- well, it did for 12 hours, but...

Too bad for you. I would have sold it to the guy. International sales in many cases are easier to deal with than many of the bottom feeder USA bidders that ebay has.

Hello,

You may be able to avoid this issue in the future, so long as you have your 'ship-to' settings setup properly for your items.

In your eBay account you can block people from bidding on your items if they are not located in one of your 'ship-to' area's. Ive done this personally for all of my items, and you can always edit the listing if you want to make an exception and allow someone to bid anyway.

On this page:
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

You will see the following option to enable/disable:

Best of luck with this situation. If you decide to sell it to the second highest bidder, they *should* take the place of the original bidder in terms of feedback ratings. (if the transaction was void and you sold to another bidder.)

Regards,
Chris

Maximum length and girth combined: 108 inches

Unless it was a phone booth, it could have shipped.

Hope you have luck selling it to the 2nd bidder.
