I noticed that my new store listings are not showing eBay Express in my active listings. Visited the STORES board and it is rumored that Express is being phased out and eBay is not telling us upfront.
An ddditional insult is that I am not finding ANY of my store listings on Express even though the worst sellers who carry the same product line are still showing there.
Kinda ticks me off. Either kill the darn thing off or give us an even playing field.
I do not get a lot of sales from Express but I do average 5 to 10 a month and now I know why that has dropped to 0 this month.
BTW, there are no Health and Beauty categories showing on Express.

I don't know if they're eliminating it or not, but what a dismal failure it's been. eBay needs to stick to what has worked from the beginning. . . the auction format. IMHO, they're far too established as an auction site to change it into anything else successfully.

I think I read that EE would be gone by the end of the year - not sure how official that is. I don't think they've been actively supporting it since Adam Nash left a year ago last May.

It is getting to be a full time job just trying to keep up with all of ebay's changes.
I wish they would decide what they want to do and just do it!!!
I think if they split off antiques and collectible like ebay motors it would be great. Leave those for auctions and store items and then they could play around with the rest.

I have had a couple of go-rounds with eBay non-support this morning.
3 different people and all of them started out with the same junk that has absolutely nothing to do with my problem.
The few listings that do still show up in EXpress say the item is no longer active when you click on them.
Of course now, I have received several apologies and a promise that someone is working on the system glitch.
Now, where is that thread on tips for building your own website? I've wasted enough time with eBay and those other "free" online stores. It's time to pull out on my "big gurl" undies and get a real website.

Everyone knew it was going to be a complete failure - it's pathetic that Ebay management couldn't figure it out until now. As usual, they try not to let anyone know of their failures, no matter how much they affect us.
They are also eliminating Ebay Live Auctions - which services a heck of a lot of auction houses. No one knew that either, I found it out from one of the auctioneers.

Actually we did know about Live Auctions being eliminated. I think it was announced at ebay live or at least around that time.

I received this message yesterday from eBay
Subject: Goodbye and Thanks from eBay Express Received: Aug-22-08
From: eBay Expires: Sep-21-08
We're Closing Our Doors but You can Still Sell All the Same Fixed Price Inventory on eBay.com
Dear ,
It's been our pleasure to work with Top eBay Express Sellers like you and we thank you for your loyalty. This message is to let you know we will be retiring eBay Express, effective September 16th.
Looking back, eBay Express helped us break new ground. Going forward, we're adding the best features to eBay.com:
* Enhanced search and find functionality for fixed-price offerings
* Higher search visibility for sellers with exemplary track records
* Reduced risk for buyers to purchase thanks to automatic buyer protection for the full protection price, plus original shipping costs on any eligible purchase made with PayPal (starting this fall)
Since we've added these features to eBay, it makes sense to direct traffic and focus all marketing resources on a single destination.
As eBay Express goes away, rest assured, your inventory will display on eBay.com with no interruptions. In fact, an even bigger market of qualified buyers is already searching on it now.
And you won't need to do anything differently to list your items on eBay or to fulfill your orders.
For details about continuing your business on eBay, please visit Frequently Asked Questions.
Once again, thank you for being a Top eBay Express Seller. We look forward to your continued success at eBay.com
Best regards,
The Team at eBay Express
