I remember when I first came to AW there was no RT, I know, I know, it was a lo-o-o----o---n--g time ago. So I spent a lot of time reading and learning about doing auctions in the EO.
The best idea I ever got was from Fashion/Annie . I remember her saying that nothing left her home with out tissue paper!
Since then I have tissue papered every single thing that leaves my house [um, in a shipping box,not the kids! ]! Everything. Nothing gets shipped with out a coating of tissue paper. A book? Yup, Tissue paper. A tool? Yup, tissue paper. Doesn't matter what it is it is wrapped in tissue! I have great feedback about my packing.

I cant remember any one particular idea, but I do remember the first time I ever heard of AW and it was thru a customer. She asked if she could post one of my auctions in AuctionWatch, as the posters would get a kick out it (its when I first started..used a goofy name along with goofy writing). I said "sure", but didnt come here til later.
I remember alot of fun times in RT after it became RT. Anyone remember the pic threads? Lots of people would post their pictures then and not feel so...nekkid, so to speak. Nothing was so "political" all the time. Lots of diverse threads and conversations going.

I've gotten a lot of great tips on AW on packing, sources of packing, treatment of customers, placement of items, history of items, etc.
AW is one of the best resources for online sellers.

I've gotten so many great ideas from AW posters that I could never list them all. My whole oneline biz has been revamped from when it began, all thanks to things I learned here. I agree--these forums are an invaluable source for auctionites.

Rawbunzel: I remember the tissue paper post too. I started doing it as well. I agree, I get great feedbacks for wrapping items so nicely.
Any one remember Model Citizen? I always liked his no nonsense posts...always upbeat and to the point of making online auction selling a good business.

I am constantly getting good ideas from AW posters. They are the best. The AW board is like an education in online auctions plus it's fun!

I've gotten quite a few good ideas, solutions & even item IDs from the wonderful world of AW, BUT my favorite thing is knowing that there exists a place where I can always find help / opinions from folks running the same business.
