Has Renninger's had its last extravaganza for the season? I can't seem to find the schedule online and I'm trying to avoid having to drive to town to pick up the latest Antique Weekly(?). Anyone know? I noticed that Shupp's Grove has its biggie at the end of the month.

Hi SS,

Give me a minute to go check my paper.

That was a heck of a long minute, wasn't it?

-----

Can't find anything specific for Renninger's. Not even on AntiqueWeek's website: http://www.antiqueweek.com

The only thing for Adamstown under the Fleas Calendar is 10/27 & 10/28 "Pennsylvania, Adamstown, Outdoor Flea Market - last of the season." Phone 717-484-4115.

I'll look through Maine Antiques Digest later and let you know if I see something.

------

You probably know...

The DC Big Flea, Chantilly, is this weekend, 9/8-9/9.

The Oatlands Hunt, Leesburg, is 9/15-9/16.

Thanks for looking. I thought I found this info online last year, but I'll be darned if I can find it now. The Shupp's Grove schedule is there. I'll have to miss the Big Flea because my husband's brother and his wife are going to be in Baltimore so we'll go up to visit them and then we thought we'd go to Adamstown from there. I just thought that if the Extravaganza happened to be this weekend, all the nearby motels would be booked. Don't go to any trouble trying to find the schedule - I'll get to one of our local shops before the weekend and maybe someone will know.

I've passed Oatlands while the show was going on. It looks like it draws a crowd. Is it worth a trip?

Oatlands always seems to fall on the same date as another show, so haven't been there yet. But, I should be able to make it this time.

I do know some dealers that exhibit and they say it is a good show for them.

200 exhibitors from 20 states.

"18th-20th c. formal, country, American & Continental furniture and accessories, vintage jewelry and much more."

Under tents on the Oatlands Plantation.

Entry fee is $9; $8 w/ad.

You could visit a couple of shops in Leesburg, also.
