Just happened a few minutes ago, and it's on all the news channels. The first one might have been an accident, but a few minutes later another large jet slammed into the second tower.
What the hell is going on????

I just got a CNN email but no real details yet. Also, an unmanned American Spy plane was shot down by Iraq this a.m. Makes me wonder if the two are connected.
Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

Now they're reporting that one of the planes may have been hijacked.

About 18 minutes after 1st tower was attacked, a second jetliner crashed into the other tower. FBI just reported that it IS a terrorist attack.
Possibly 1000s of casualties.

We have posters here that live in NYC (I live
about 50 miles away) and I pray they are and stay safe. Since we don't know if more attacks will occur, I hope they stay somewhere safe.

President Bush has just spoken & declared it to be a terrorist attack. He's on his way back to Washington.

Boeing 767.
Manhattan being secured - bridges & tunnels closed.

Unsure if it was plane but one station just reported that the Pentagon was hit.

An explosion at the Pentagon, apparently a bomb detonated at the building's heliport. Related incident?

Just reported on MSNBC that a plane apparently crashed into the Pentagon. There are injured people they are removing.
FAA has halted all air traffic.
They are evacuating the White House, Pentagon and someplace else in Wash.

All domestic flights have been ordered to land at the nearest airport. Air Force 1 just took off, it'll be the only thing flying.

the tower was hit by a 3rd plane. Air defense is not working real well.

Apparently one of the world trade towers has completely collapsed. Sears Tower in Chicago being evacuated. Pentagon burning, Washington Mall was attached too it appears. White House evacuated.
My heart goes out to everyone in the U.S., this is so awful.

My daughter works in one of the government buildings in DC and I can't get an answer on the phone.
