If you live in NY, DC, Virginia,....please just let us know that you're OK.

I'm here, thanks for asking. Kind of stunned. I know I'm gonna know people who were killed.

The lack of leadership in this catastrophe is incredible. You watch TV waiting for some official coordination from the government and there's nothing. The only statement from Bush was his wimpy promise earlier this morning to get "the folks" responsible for this.

Spaz, it's good to know you're OK.

I hope James and Pareau and other NY and DC posters are all right.

glad you're ok Spaz. Hope everyone else is ok too. Hope everyone else from NYC, Wash, and PA post that they're ok. Gaffan is from Washington area, others in NY, a few in PA I think too.

I know it's useless to cry but I can't stop the tears from welling up in my eyes.

I'm okay in the Virginia 'burbs of DC. I just filled all our water jugs and buckets in case we lose power. This is nuts!!

Yes, AirForce One is enroute from Sarasota, Florida.
If AF1 is the only plane flying, doesn't that make it a hell of a target when we are under an apparent Air Attack?
Is Bush really inside that plane?

I'm not in the city itself, but still too close for comfort.

I just can't believe the absence of official guidance in all of this. No word from the President, no word from the Governor ... It's like, hey, you're all on your own ...

Local news is showing satellite coverage of crowds in the Middle East dancing and cheering in the streets as news of this reaches them. Men, women and children, arms raised above their heads, great big smiling faces ...

Spaz, we are hated there. When we bombed, we did it in the middle of the night, when people were home in their beds and not at the plants/places that were targeted. WHY is the USA the only ones concerned about that, when that country couldnt give a flying crap about doing the same thing? Whomever is behind this, they did it at 9am, when everyone would be IN those buildings.

I know what you're saying, hepburn, but there's a difference worth noting here: When the US attacks, it is done by the state. This appears to have been some rogue faction.

Yes, rogue faction. But from what country? Palestinians may be dancing in the street, along with Iragi's, but we cant pin this on one country. Its a group of many, from the country of Terrorism. Im hoping the middle eastern civilians here in the usa dont get targeted by hate groups to "pay back", ya know?

I'm so sad to say that I'm afraid that is exactly what is going to happen! Some idiots will take it upon themselves to avenge this by killing more innocent people...

Boston has quite a large Arab-American population. I hope they keep their heads down for awhile...it could get very ugly. I would hate like hell to see revenge wreaked upon innocent American citizens.

I am here and posting what is going on in my area. It is not good at all. It is scary.

The azzholes in Palestine are partying in the streets because of this.

Well, I hope they enjoy the party ... cause when this is all over they will be obliterated. Our vice prez is a military power. This will not go unnoticed.

My prayers go out to anyone who is personally affected by this.

God Bless The USA

Becky

Mrs Santa Claus, until palestine cops to be the cause of this disaster, I would not wish on their civilians what just happened to ours.

I lit a candle for those killed, maimed and hurt...and those not found yet that may still be clinging to life, waiting for help. I hope others will do the same.

Talk about a bunch of us thinking the same thing...

They keep mentioning Ben Laden (sp?)as a major suspect on CNN... BTW, Spaz...your governor is giving them an interview, as I type.

My connection keeps coming and going, so my posts may be WAY out of date. Bah. I'm going to give up after this.

While I'm concerned for james' safety too, I don't think anyone should immediately be alarmed by his silence. Even as we speak all of lower Manhattan is being evacuated. If he's in New York City today, I suspect the Round Table is not at the top of his mind.

Military overseas live with this fear everyday...we have targets on our backs just because we're Americans.

I have friends who work at the Pentagon...I'm waiting to hear from them.
