I plan to, however for me it doesn't come on for another two hours.

Same here, Bunni. The previews said this one was going to be tougher than the other two. And instead of them breaking apart into one tribe later on, they may break into THREE. Now THAT will be interesting, lol!

I'm watching at the moment. Well, I shouldn't say watching ... it's on in the background, but isn't holding my interest. Coming on the heels of the President's speech, Survivor seems really lame and unimportant.

Gee, I was thinking that it would bring some interest & excitement after the President's speech I haven't seen/heard so much dancing, backpedaling & floundering for replies in a while...

Im looking forward to seeing it. Im looking forward to seeing ANYTHING besides more "america is secure; new threats were said today; go back to your normal activities; another case of anthrax has been found; feel safe in america because we have it covered; 3 people at the NY water district were arrested for fake papers; all is well, we will protect you; rocket fuel has been stolen....."

Its enough to make anyone insane..sane...insane...sane...insane...

Well, the vote is being tallied even as I write. All I'll say is, it gets interesting in the last ten or fifteen minutes of the show.

I watched it. Interesting. I already have opinions on a couple of the tribe members, and I feel the wrong person was voted off (although I completely understand WHY the other person was voted off).

I do NOT like Clarence
I do NOT like Frank (I don't like bossy people in general)
And I don't think I'm going to like Brendan, the "bartender".

But, as I've found out, my opinions are likely to change at the end of every episode

Clarence CHECK, Frank CHECK, Brendan CHECK. Got it.

Everytime you and I view a show, I make note of those you dont like and watch them closely myself, just to see what you did to make to NOT like them

It's too early for me to associate names with faces. I know Clarence because he managed to make himself stand out from the crowd. But I'm still at the stage where I refer to people by their physical characteristics, such as Redneck Guy, Old Guy, etc.

I have little respect for people who can't even make a fire for two days.

By the end of two days they should have had shade, water and wood stockpiled and meat on the grill.

Y'all can talk about it if you like..the ones that already saw it. Doesnt bother me to stumble in here and see who got booted. I dont know about anyone else, but thats what I feel about it. The title says what is going on in here. If I didnt want to know, I wouldnt look until the next day. So, if you on the east coast want to chat about it, go ahead

I was extremely annoyed w/ the old man - the one who was pissy toward Clarence. Granted, Clarence did a stupid thing. But the old man was highly highly highly irritating. I can tell already that he may be my "Jerri" of this season.

Spaz, thats what Im like with love cruise. Still having a hard time putting names to faces, unless they stand out. Then again, Big Nose, BoneRack Bonnie, Bug Eyes, Sleaze, Slimeball...they all stood out

nefish,

Your Old Guy and my Redneck Guy may be one and the same. I'm thinking of the bozo with the cowboy hat who said to Clarence, "If I had a gun right now ..."

Watched the President speak and thought-geesh I am not in the mood for Suvivor, no matter how much I was looking forward to it.

When in turmoil, I iron. So have about 30 + hankies ready for sale. (and nearly gagged from the perfume from some of them! Why did our Grannies douse them in perfume?) Listened to the tv while I ironed and don't have a clue what happened. Saw who they booted off at the end, will have to watch the Early Show tomorrow and find out why.

I didn't get in on this at the beginning of last season, but I'm here now.

The guy who wanted his gun is a goat farmer, and I know that's how I'll think of him as long as he's there.

Two people called each other liars. Wonder who wasn't lying?

Silas is from a different suburb of Memphis than the one I live in, but the two are close together; I guess that for now I'll lean in his direction. Although that one girl was very good when she came up with the fire starter.

...trying not to say too much this early..

I think the cameras should have SHOWN us who was lying and who was telling the truth. However, I believe that Clarence was lying, after seeing him take two cherries when everyone else only got one. It all makes sense to me after seeing that.

Clarence was saved ... unbelievable! They will get rid of him soon enough, though.

Very interesting .... but I don't think I could drink that water ... YUKKKKKK

Did everyone notice the uncanny resemblance the one has to the winner of Survivor 2?

Oh, and the commercial was a hoot!

I can't wait for next week ... something to keep my mind off of the chaos of our lives ...

MRSSANTACLAUS; that was water. It looked like the slurry in the bottom of my water dish when I get done throwing a bunch of pots.
I would be leary of drinking that even if it was boiled.
My husband liked Frank, of course my husband is an annoying ex-military phone man too.(they even look alike) I don't think he will last very long. Bossy people don't seem to last on these shows, not unless they get in an alliance real early on.

I think ****** deserved to be booted, did you see them smile when they were all on Clarence? I thought Clarence should go also, but then I began to feel a little sorry for him towards the end, especially when the old guy kept making him apologize. That was really ingenius what the girl from the other tribe came up with to get fire.

Put stars for the name just in case someone stumbles in who has not seen it.

I have little respect for people who can't even make a fire for two days.

I heard that. I've done it "the hard way", with 2 peices of wood. An hour tops if everything is nice and dry, and it sure looked nice and dry. And yes it's hard work, but I've seen it done in 15 minutes, from the minute a guy decided to do it (had to "gather materials", till there was a flame.

after seeing him take two cherries when everyone else only got one.

Hey, he's a big guy.... He's gotta eat, you know

Clarence was saved ... unbelievable!

Like I said, he's a big guy... If they gotta pull another wagon up the side of another mountain, their gonna need him. The woman they got rid of would be useless in a hard physical contest. Gotta keep that imunity idol.

That was really ingenius what the girl from the other tribe came up with to get fire.

Yeah, she made some "points" for sure.

But they should have been able to make fire they way they where trying to. They just didn't stay at it hard enough and long enough. You work hard with the stick for 15 or 20 minutes, you will get a hot coal. But for 20 minutes the sweat will be running into your eyes, and you can't stop for even a second, or you won't get enough heat.

We're watching too.

I was surprised at how much Diane looked like Susan (BB1). And I agree the winner of Survivor 2 does look like one of these participants.

Bad move on Clarence's part for taking more than his share of the cherries so early in the game. Then the can of beans was opened for Diane's sake, but he ate them too. uh huh.

What I noticed was how many of them looked so sunburned....from wearing tank tops.

Yes, can't imagine drinking that water....boiled or not. YUK!!

I was amazed how most of them seemed to go out of their way to annoy the others in the first two days--when the smartest move would be ingratiating yourself through hard work and helping others.

Early in the show I figured Clarence was going to be a problem when he took more than his share of cherries. What a pig! The others are right not to trust him further than they can throw him. But they'll probably keep him around for at least a while for his size & strength. I had no problem with the others ragging on him (it wasn't just the goat farmer)--they're going to need to watch him (& the food) every minute.

By the end of the show, I figured it would either be Clarence or Diane--and as the weakest, she was the logical choice.

On the other team, I figure it'll be the military-type that annoys the heck out of the others.

It was funny--just before the woman on the first team found the telescope, I was thinking "do any of them wear glasses? They can start a fire that way..."

Well, I guess I am agains the flow. I liked Clarence. My gut instinct tells me that he just wasnt thinking when he took the two cherries. And I also think Diane is the liar, not clarence. Just something about her irked me. She acted all faint, probably just to keep from doing any work. She was really dramatizing it, hanging all over the guys and needing help. Uh huh. Help right outta there and Im glad she went. Clarence I think will prove himself later on. Then again, I could be wrong too. TIme will tell.

That one chick with the magnifying glass...too cool! Goat herder...him, I kinda like, but listening to him talk is just about as irritating as listening to the one who won S2.

Hmmmm.....there seems to be a common thread here....

"I could have done that better!"

LOL, I'm guilty of it too! I noticed the sunglasses they were all wearing and thought the lenses might help start a fire. I also thought they weren't applying themselves enough when "twirling the sticks"!
I even had some brilliant ideas about purifying the water.......could they filter the mud out first? Any gauze in that medical kit?

My DH pointed out that half of the tribe were in their forties or older. Hah! His secret fantasy is to be on Survivor! Myself, I don't have the brute physical strength, but it's fun to play along.

But what I really think is, it would be hard to perform with the pressure on you, the camera's, your tribal mates giving conflicting advice, etc. Looks like the start of an interesting season, though! Now it's time for ER, and don't anybody say what happens!

Goat herder guy made me nervous. I was wondering if perhaps he had a surplus of sheets with holes in them. That one girl did look and sound alot like Tina (winner survivor2).

Too early to really tell who I like yet.

? The goat herder guy has a thick southern accent so he must automatically be assumed to have sheets with eyeholes tucked away somewhere?

By that logic, the black woman who made the big statement about "dissing" Mother Africa must be a Black Panther or a member of the black Nation of Islam.

Kind of silly logic, IMHO
