No, it's more like if you want to eat, line up over here, if you want to fight stay in the Taliban base. Either way, we will give you what you want.

It was reported that they don't like the food that was dropped to them. They said it was Western food and not to their taste. One guy refused to eat it and feed it to his donkey.

Sheesh, if I was starving I would even eat rice, and I hate rice!

Peanut Butter fed to the donkeys or looked at as silly putty by the children?

They want beans and rice. So frickin simple, no peanut butter, no poptarts, etc.

And then, this air dropped food being sold in their market place.

Unbelievable.

http://www.msnbc.com/news/642491.asp?0dm=V14LN#BODY

"To a people more accustomed to lard rendered from fat-tailed sheep than to peanut butter, this fare may be strange. “Rice with Beans,” U.S. Army style, is not quitea kufta-kabab (ground beef and onions roasted on skewers) oreven kala-pacheh pilau (rice served with the feet and head — including eyeballs — of a sheep)."

I would think that if they were truly hungry they would not be bitching about the menu.

So far they have dropped 110,000 units that cost $4.25 each. So, we have just picked up the tab on a $464,000 diner (not including delivery cost) and now they are bitching about it.

Check the prayer links and pray.

Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies, and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen.

Well you should be. Asses must be fed. I'm worried thought that they may not like the western food either.

and a match...In such a windy country, a match is not going to set the world on fire...

This reminds me of WWII..The allies were throwing canned food from train windows, and each day, I and a dozen other kids would walk a few miles to the train rails and retrieve whatever we could carry

When I was living in an old car I had I would go a few days without eating. No one gave me food like this, I had to sneak in the stores and steal it when I could. I don't have any sympathy for these ungracious people. The US should be feeding the people here instead of wasting our money.

Helen,

plsmith talks about mules, and jlpiece is a member who hasn't made an appearance in some time who talked about gas. You referred to plsmith as jlpiece, I guess, and I posted with questioning marks.
