My absolute favorite show had its first official written show of the season...last week they ran a special show that they put together to help with the Sept.11 horror.
I find myself really in the show! Even when commercials come on I am thinking about what has happened or what will happen next. Excellent actors, terrific writing and great drama with just enough wit to make it better than real life.
This weeks episode I was really getting distressed with Toby Zigler and his attitude, some of the other including CJ were in a snit...finally I became aware of the why...When the presidents wife admonished him to reach out to the staff and when the writer that Toby had really been snide with finally said, "You are soo pissed at "Him" that is why you are mad at me. Boy was the Pres. wife right, all he needed to do was reach out the Staff he had kept in the dark the ones who "loved & respected" him enough to give up great paying jobs and work endless hours...they needed to know they were cared for too and that he was sorry for the mess.
The point,in part, aside from offering accolades for a great show...with all the pressure we find ourselves under in this uneasy time, take a minute to see the human side, make a few allowances...let life imitate art!

It is one of my favorite shows too. This past episode was really good. Especially, the scene when C.J. told the president not to lecture her. They keep saying someone is going to be left behind. I wonder if the fact that they kept saying he never apologized, that they were actually referring to themselves and not the citizens of the United States. I wonder who is going to be left behind?

My all-time favorite TV show, for sure. I simply won't miss it each week. Thanks for bringing up the last two episodes. I hope they never lose their fine writers.
I think the show dealing with the muslims, two weeks ago, was - well - different from previous shows. And also very good! I'd like to see it shown to high schoolers across the country.
