Ok all of my southern AW friends... I've never had it, but my kid has a cake walk at her school tomorrow so we are making one this evening. Are they good? It sounds so funny to me.
I guess we will be making two just so we can eat one.
I'd never even heard of it until I was going through some cookboks for this project. It's funny how some things are popular only in certain parts of the country.

I imagine it's really good...Many years ago I remember hearing about a cake recipe using 7-Up. Similar in principle I guess!

HEY, Its great. I also remember another made with vinegar. Does this jog someones memory?

Ok, I am back with an update. My whole family gave it a thumbs up (as if they wouldn't, they would eat almost anything covered in chocolate).
It is really moist cake and I love pecans! :0)
The other bizarre cake recipe I found this week was one with tomato soup, but I had to pass on that because I can't handle the smell of canned tomatoes (weird I know!)
