I have recently seen several emails containing beautifully laid out forms for supposingly making credit card or echeck contributions to organizations like the Red Cross, United Way, or Salvation Army. The form contains very official looking logos and even testimonials for these charities. UNFORTUNATELY these are bogus scam artists, some of which are originating in some very unscrupulous areas of Central Europe, that have nothing to do the real charities, and perhaps are even funding fronts for terrorists. PLEASE BE AWARE that, as far as I am aware, these charities DO NOT send direct emails requesting contributions. SURE we all want to give aid and support the victims of the recent terrorist attacks, but PLEASE make sure your contributions are going where you want them to go. THANKS
