Just so I don't come across as trying to derail threads, I thought I'd try and talk this out with you Helen & Nycyn.

Helen, I don't think my questions are inappropriate because this is a public forum. If someone throws a dig out and I don't understand why, it should be OK for me to ask why as the dig was thrown out in a public forum. Do you know what I mean?

Yes, I did derail stusi's thread but it was unintentional and I apologized for that. The situation between you all must run deeper than I can comprehend going by the links you provided. I haven't been here as long as most of you so that's my shortcoming, not yours.

Nycyn, you explained yourself and I appreciate that because you didn't have to. As I said, it was an honest question between 2 people.

Now here's where you'll all start laughing but I'm going to say it anyway. When I see digs being thrown (by anyone) that seem intentionally mean, no matter what the provication was/is, I loose respect (maybe not the correct word) for that person, not for the person who the digs are directed at. Defending yourself is one thing but seeming to be intentionally being mean just comes off like poor behavior.

H & N, I do realize that stusi can be a handful, but so can everyone else. Don't you think the most controversial threads are the best no matter who they're started by?

End of Rant....thanks for listening.

I suppose this comment is directed to me.

"Defending yourself is one thing but seeming to be intentionally being mean just comes off like poor behavior."

Kraftdinner I am not intentionally mean or guilty of poor behavior and I am not going to make another comment on this thread to try to convince you of that fact.
If you read the threads that I linked in the thread, "License Plate ECJ 1368- PA" and you still do not understand the problem, then there is nothing further that I can do to help you out.

I understand that people have vendetas based on politics, philosophy or personal issues that may cause them to make inappropriate personal attacks. I don't hold grudges and I hope that this battle will end. I have asked stusi over and over to please back off and I am hoping that he will.

Peace!

Helen

kraftdinner- For the record, my problem with Helen is fourfold: first, she has taken positions regarding the Palestinian terrorists which should be infuriating to any patriotic American. I likened her to Jane Fonda and I think it is an accurate analogy. This flipped her out and she responded nastily. Second, she showed blatantly elitist attitudes regarding education. Thirdly, she blindly rushes to defend nycyn as though so obligated. Lastly and unsurprisingly, she is great at linking/posting old posts to justify her problems with me and others, while cleverly omitting those which contradict her positions. My problem with nycyn is somewhat different. She posts in many threads with absolutely no contribution whatsoever. When questioned about her statements she gets defensive and basically tells people to fu_k off. She has initiated insults in several threads unrelated to the topics. It is not surprising that she was chased from the Ebay board. I have at times put these two on "ignore" as the exasperation is sometimes too much with which to deal. I truly do not enjoy such battles and would much rather debate those who have the integrity to back up their statements and/or admit they are sometimes wrong. As I can't relate to anyone who takes her political positions, I would prefer to have nothing to do with Helen. I would also rather have nothing to do with someone like nycyn as she just does not post with any degree of integrity. Thanks for your interest kraftdinner. gravid- glad you are okay. BTW- hypergolic implies complementing entities- the only two here are Helen and nycyn.

People in glass houses... Stusi, I guess you've forgotten our exchange last year where I asked you (and you refused) to back up the nasty comments you made about me.

Hypergolic

Cool, gravid. I don't think that I've ever encountered that word before. I often check meanings of words for one reason or another, but I love to encounter new words.

Stusi:

Untrue. Only you.

Because your questions are non-questions. What you really do is start threads, wait for someone to dissent, then accusing them of picking on you and of evading the "real" non-questions.

>>For the record, my problem with Helen is fourfold: first, she has taken positions regarding the Palestinian terrorists which should be infuriating to any patriotic American.<<

The world according to stusi who refuses to consider, ever, that perhaps the other guy is right, or that doesn't think as you do, does not equate "terrorist." Want a list of Jews in Manhattan for your T.I.P.S. quota? By your standards, I'm a terrorist too.

Anyway, this is all BS in contrast to what is really going on, and I need to concentrate.

Since the appointed-by-you "Three Musketeers"
was another one of your delusions, you might consider demoting Hellen () to that of krs's Fraternal twin.

(Ducking from my Soul Sistah. Okay my Significant Other for 17 years! LOL! Hellen--love ya' just having fun. )

Goodbye to all this! (Striking dramatic pose.)

Poof!

Irene- I certainly did not forget our exchange and resent your implications regarding my integrity which is intact on this board. You, however, may have again selectively forgotten that the RT archives were deleted at that time and were therefore not available. I also told you that I HAD printed out the posts but could not find them as I had moved and they were not readily available. I HAVE since found them. Are you really prepared to get into that discussion again? Let's just say that when person A makes disparaging racial/religious remarks, person B rebuffs person A, and person C says if you don't like it leave, then person B has every right to put person C in the same category as person A. Enough said, unless you care to explain for the record how the above is not accurate and how you could say that and still not agree with Networker's anti-semitic sympathies. If you can explain that away I will apologize to you. I don't think you can.

Stusi, the mod's corner may be gone, but I remember that brouhaha. I have never seen Stockticker make an antisemitic post.

nycyn- Let's just put each other on ignore as we are like oil and water. The things I joke about you take seriously and the things I seriously ask you about you conveniently call non-questions. Your edited comments are so ridiculously typical of your NYC pseudo-intellect, making no sense whatsoever. Click.

Stusi, I have never made any disparaging racial/religious remarks. So, now you admit I never did. You lied.

Newsflash Stusi - I like some posters and dislike other posters based on their behavior. If I happened to dislike the behavior of a specific poster (who happened to be a priest) who was posting here, I bet you'd say I was Anti-Catholic. You're a Maroon, Stusi.

For the record, I did not agree with Networker's anti-semetic posts. In fact, I read very few of his rants but did clash with him - called him a fanatic which promptly sent him to the Moderator's Corner to complain.

I originally started to read those threads because I wasn't sure who Jesse Jackson was and was curious. I knew he was a black leader and he had the word "Reverand" in front of his name. I had never heard or read any of his speeches.

I can't remember that incident with Irene from the moderators' corner at all. I was probably gone and didn't read it or I think that I would remember it. But there have been some board incidents that I don't recall until something specific jogs my memory.

I do remember when stusti accused spaz of being anti-semitic because of an old testament pun that he made, but none of us ever understood why stusti thought so. I remember that because I was somewhat involved. It was jamesoblivion, however, who explained to the moderators that he couldn't see any anti-semitic intent, as I recall, and at that point stusti dropped his accusation.

When Stusi first started posting, I thought he was a control freak by the way he tried to control so many threads and then have threads locked if he didn't like the direction any of them went in. He whined and he threatened. It irritated me, and I probably expressed that irritation more than once in the Moderator's Corner.

Yes, I do remember stusti's attempts to do that. And if the incident with you occurred during the Networker saga I may well have missed it since I was pretty much in and out of that. I was very familiar with Networker from early AW days, he was suspended twice I think, and with his numerous run-ins on the old Q & A Board and with eBay. I was pretty tired of him by the time that he appeared in his last reincarnation here.

Oh no, Antiquary. Stusi made his accusations of my being anti-semetic many months later. Interesting that he didn't do so at the time if he felt that way.

Irene- deja vu all over again! You have a very short memory. I said I HADN'T-meaning previously! I did not want to have to do this but here goes. I was having a big problem with Networker's support for Jesse Jackson despite his being reminded by many here of Jesse's many anti-semitic statements and some other posters making some outrageous hate-filled comments such as calling Jews devils. I also questioned the MODS' lack of action regarding same. I told the MODS that I would take AW's inaction to a more public forum if they did not act. (They finally did) Stockticker/December 6, 2000 08:20:43 AM " Is that a threat, Stusi?" Stusi/December 6, 2000 08:38:15 AM " Do you feel personally threatened stockticker, or are you just trying to clarify this for AW's sake?" Stockticker/December 6, 2000 08:47:25 AM " From where I sit I see someone who appears to be making a habit of ....threatening the moderators.(note-I never had occasion to do so before) AW is privately owned. You are a guest here. If you don't like the way the place is run, why don't you just leave. No one is forcing you to stay." Now why would someone who was not involved in this very specific discussion of anti-semitism defend anyone's lack of action regarding it? Why would someone say that if someone else has a problem with anti-semitic comments that they should leave? Seems like someone wanted these hateful comments to not be questioned or WOMD from the board! Sounds like a duck to me!
