I believe it's something like one shouldn't throw rocks when one lives in a glass house. ???

"Vote out the crooks, thieves, and liars from one party and end up with the crooks, thieves, and liars from the other party. Votes don't count."

Is that the one that you were thinking of?

"People who live in glass houses have brick windows"? "A bird in the hand better be toilet trained"? "Sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue"?

Acutally this story goes back to a sub saharan African king named Mmaha.

Now King Mmaha knew that His soldiers were the best in many lands but there were not enough of them to defend from the enemies all around him.

So the king came up with a bold plan whereby eh would not conquer his enemies but add them to his poewer base by force.

He chose the Kingdom to the south Conquered by stealth so that most warriors survived He then added the symbol of power the King's own throne to his throne room and made sure that some decisions were made sitting in newly conquered throne.

With the thrones side by side and the militayr forces of both nations he made war after war on his neighbors made never knowing what hit them His power grew and grew each day.

With each conquered kingdom came more conscripts for his army and more thrones soon the grass hut His throne was originally in was not enought and his best builders made a larger two story hut.

after years of warfare he was again and again forced to rebuild until at the staggering height or 5 stories the worlds largest grass house came crashing down killing the king.

and of course the moral of the story is that people who live in grass houses should'nt stow thrones.

I see both sides of the issue. One opinion of mine is that there is a possibility the corporate CEOs etc are on the defense and will use whatever to discredit Bush.

However, on the other hand, I think Bush should address the accusations. I think that help people to trust him. To come clean and be up front. Otherwise the confidence will not be there.

clarksville, that is something weird I find in Americans anymore. If a politician publically confesses about any wrongdoing, why, it's all made clean and we can just go on about our business. If someone is acused of wrongdoing and denies it, THEN they are treated like they are guilty of something! If Bush comes out and admits to wrongdoing, what does that say about all of the voters who voted for him? What does it say to their rants about "Honesty" "Integrity in the Oval Office" and the like? If Bush admits his wrongdoing in public, then it shows how wrong they were and how stupid that they were to vote for him. But, of course, so long as he admits he did wrong, then those voters will forgive and forget. Insanity.

Hi Clarksville - Haven't been able to respond sooner as we're having ISP problems due to a storm.

Anyway....My point was to show that while the head of the DNC is quick to throw mud on the President, he should clean up his own back yard [so to speak]. Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black.

As far as President Bush goes...you say you'd like to see him address the issue. Well...I'd say he has, to the only people he had to...the SEC. Three times the democrats have brought this up. The head of the SEC has told the news agencies recently that after their investigation, it was found nothing illegal had been done. They consider the case closed. They SEC spokesman said that if President Bush had not filed the first notice [of intended sale] it would have been a different story. But he did.

If one reads the different information on this, Bush told the SEC he'd come in [at that time - 12 years ago] to clear anything questions they had of him. He was open to answering their questions. They didn't feel it was necessary. Just because the democrats want to try again to make it an issue, President Bush doesn't have to account to them. The SEC did their investigation, did not bring charges and have [long ago] closed the case.

The democrats are struggling with the support the President has. They're trying everything. That's the way it is in politics. Throw the mud....see if it sticks. Every issue they've thrown his way so far this year has been shown to be false. One example is he knew about the WTC before the attacks. Remember that big hoopla? That kind of thing.

I just find it amusing that when Hillary doesn't report campaign funds...no one here says a word. When the head of the DNC doesn't have such a clean past, no one here even mentions that anything is wrong with that. Appears to me to be a double standard here. Except Borillar...he thinks they're all corrupt.
