is right in the car, but wrong in the house. Some is right in the house but wrong in the truck. Some music is wrong in the truck but right in the car. Some is right in the truck but wrong in the house. Some music is only right in the house.

For me, what music is right to listen to where depends on the mood I'm in at the time I'm listening to it.

But I have learned that the two pieces of music that you should be wary of using while on freeway onramps (or the freeway in general, actually) are "The Ride of the Valkyries" and the "William Tell Overture." Your foot jams the pedal to the metal and your vehicle becomes a missile zooming at incredible speed...

Jazz sounds best in the Samurai with the top off after midnight.

Some people are intolerant of some music.

Classical music has too much range for the car. The quietest parts are lost in road noise unless you have a very expensive luxury car with tons of sound deadening.

We were invited out of state to stay with friends children because they had room in their home and the friends did not. Not once all weekend was it possible to have a normal conversation in the home or the car because the music was too loud to talk over. I know it is a generation thing but they don't talk to each other either. If the power goes out and they get to talk with each other they will probably discover they don't like each other and get divorced.

Isn't that deep Helen? What worries me are the people that understand what he's getting at.

Those lyrics could go quite well with Beethoven's Fur Elise . . .

Here's one that's a definite night time, summer car song...

Nobody on the road
Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
The summer's out of reach
Empty lake, empty streets
The sun goes down alone
I'm drivin' by your house
Though I know you're not at home

But I can see you....
your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got your hair combed back and your sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

I never will forget those nights, I wonder if it was a dream
Remember how you made me crazy?
Remember how I made you scream
Now I don't understand what happened to our love
But babe, I'm gonna get you back
I'm gonna show you what I'm made of

I can see you...
your brown skin shinin' in the sun
I see you walkin' real slow and you're smilin' at everyone
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

Out on the road today, I saw a DEADHEAD sticker on a Cadillac
A little voice Inside my head said, "Don't look back. You can never look back."
I thought I knew what love was
What did I know?
Those days are gone forever
I should just let them go but...

I can see you...
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that top pulled down and that radio on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

I can see you...
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that hair slicked back and those Wayfarers on, baby
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

JMHO (but I KNOW I'm right)--

RAP IS NOT MUSIC. And I'd say that even if I liked the words.

FLEETWOOD MAC-- ANYTIME
To me, the whole album has the capability to be chameleon-like
