I don't believe it. If bin Laden were dead I think we would have seen a bunch of his followers going wild with attacks in retribution. He's their hero.

I believe that he is alive. But, if he is not, another bin Laden will immerge when we eviscerate Hussein's regime and kill 10,000 innocent civilians. Terror breeds terror.

He's dead. If he were alive, he would have been running his mouth.

He's too shrewd to be "running his mouth" at this stage of the game. George is doing exactly what he wants and he doesn't have to say one word.

No, he would have the Arab world in the palm of his hand right now if he would have made public statements after 9-11.

He could cause a lot of trouble for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Pakistan. He's dead.

Calamity

He has to come up with a better offer than that! Dam, Calamity! We gotta have big bucks.

What an insulting offer for such fine southern women.

HaHaHa!

Whayy... fine Southern ladies do not participate in high stakes gamblin'.

I have offered a gentleman's stake towards the ladies with honor. I could not take undue advatage of the fairer sex. It just wouldn't be honorable.

Calamity,

Honorable? Whassat?

We can't make any money dealing with a male chauvinist gentleman!

Let him believe in the tooth fairy. What do we care?

And to think our ancestresses probably bet on how many times they might faint from wearing those blasted corsets. Especially, if they pulled them in an extra half inch after bloating from eating country ham.

Oh well, we're right anyway.

Of course we're right!

That's the real reason for his pitiful bet. He was afraid that he might lose a few dollars.

I agree calamity. The outcry over his death would be big news. He would be a super hero with parades to honour his martyrdom if he were dead. No way he's dead.

Many people will not believe he is dead until a body is recovered. His followers would not accept his death even if remains were found.

Hero worship is quite a strange animal. There are many who refused to believe Hitler was dead, same with Elvis.

He's dead or he would be communicating with his sycophants.

But martyrdom is where it's at with these people reamond. Dying to them, in the name of Allah, is like winning the lottery. I say he's alive.

What are sycophants?

Reamond, ante up. There are always revenge attacks in the martyr's name.

The martyrdom angle is probably why the US doesn't confirm his death. The US may already have evidence of his demise but does not release it to prevent martydom. We may even know what cave he is rotting in but won't dig the remains out in order to prevent martyrdom, or it may have been secretly disposed of already.

Hitler's remains were secretely disposed of by the USSR for the martyrdom reason.

The US doesn't want a body, nor does it want a grave site. The best way to procede is to have his followers never know one way or the other- it will prevent martyrdom.

He will never be seen or heard from again. No body. No grave to become a pilgrim's shrine. A ghost that will fade with each passing year.

It's an assumption to state that he is either dead or alive. So, without any evidence, we should both stop guessing.

Look on the cheerful side, Reamond...you get to keep your magic beans and belly-button lint.

Helen
