And with all the democratic candidates, who Dean's whining to McAuliffe to 'tone down' their statements [when he started it], those who support those candidates might just move 'right' too.
After all....if we are to believe Dean....if he doesn't get the party nomination those who support him WILL NOT transfer their support to the democratic candidate who does get the nomination. Now that's being a team player if I ever saw one. not! [/b]LOL[/b]

I guess those who are switching must like the President's affection for illegal immigrants

I don't know profe - from what I've read there are more and more democratic leaders who are speaking out about the MANY concerns they have on the direction the democratic is headed with Dean as their front-runner. Don't believe I've heard them mention illegals though.

That's a "drove"? Texas Democrats elected to what position? LOL!
"Stonecold", I don't usually respond to vague and innane topics such as this one unless I'm feeling very frisky. Right now, I'm bored.
BTW...I've read your comments on Ebay Outlook and you appear to have opinions there. What's holding you up here? I promise not to call your opinion "bogus". LOL!

Whenever I hear about party defections I always wonder where their loyalty really lays. I mean is it really possible to change like a lightbulb, one second you are Democrat and the next, just like turning on a light switch and coming into the light and out of the darkness all of a sudden you are Republican.

To me I don't see it as a 'casual' loyalty they hold, but rather most of these are the more conservative democrats. Yes, there is such a thing
They just can't agree with the party's 'hard-left' lean. Even moderate democrats are expressing their concern that the dem party is going too far left, rather than staying in the 'center' as clinton did.
Also I think, as the article says, many see the people they represent lean more to the 'right' than to the 'left....and they want to continue to represent those same voters.
