First of all, to cut to the chase, Bush won because the Repuplicans for over 30 years now have been better than the Democarats about the "Business" of campaigning, managing, and winning an election....even in cases where they lost, clearly in 2000, and possibly now in 2004.

.Also, I think that the way the current system is set up, the most qualified people never run for President. There's skeletons in everyone's closet. This sadly leaves the American people the choice to not vote "FOR" a candidate, but to vote "AGAINST" the other. We've had a series of sorry choices in previous elections, and in this election as well, I think that most who voted Kerry were not voting "FOR" Kerry, but rather voting for "ANYONE BUT BUSH". I for one am an independent voter leaning towards Democatic social policy who has voted Repuplican in almost all the previous elections, only because the Democrat was an unattactive choice. Again in this election I was faced with the choice between Kerry, who never articulated a clear overall policy, and Bush, who couldn't clearly articulate a comic strip. I voted for Kerry not because I felt that he had any vision for the future, but because I felt that the alternative, Bush, and his fascist administration, was a clear and present danger for the future of American Democracy.

.The bottom line, as far as I'm concerned, is that the Republicans managed to bring out enough positive "Bush" votes, however misguided, ignorant, religion based(which from the time of the Pilgrims clearly has no place in our goverment), or propagannda laced as they were. The Democrats in the future, sadly need to resort to some sort of similar campaigning in
order to win. The end justifies the means. There just were not enough positive "Kerry" votes.

.I love my country and the principles that it was founded on. I hope that enough remains of our Constitution after four more years of this abhorrent behavior so that it can be rescued by whatever admainistration takes over in 2008.
