After all the rhetoric for last few months coming from both sides, I am wondering how people plan on coming together as an undivided country again?
Now that the election is over, I am willing to forgive all those that made a wrong choice and would like to see you all come aboard and watch this country grow and thrive. Stock markets like the election results so far... that is a good sign...

Dollar value dropped against the GBP - like I said, I think Bush is bad for the country but he's good for my finances.
I don't see the point in being angry and bitter, all it does is ruins your day, alienates the people around you and when all is said and done, he's still the president. I'm not going to suddenly start agreeing with him. I'm just going to do what I have always done... figure out how to make the best of the situation and move forward.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

heh, I see "coming together" as two sides moving towards the middle, with each giving up some ground, rather than one side bowing to the other and admitting it made a "wrong choice". If the President is willing to admit to some errors, and make efforts to correct them, (he could start by getting rid of Ashcroft, and admitting that his end game in Iraq was poorly planned) I'd be willing to listen to what else he has to say. If giving in to more of the same is the definition of "coming together", I'll have no part of it.

Prof - word today was that both Ashcroft and Rumsfeld are on their way out, as is Powell but that one we all knew about - he has long said he would not stay for a second term. Lets hope that the reporters are closer to correct on this one than the guy during the news conference today who announced Arafat was dead.
