Well after 10 years they have arrested a suspect. Just wonder if he admitted to it to get out of Thailand jails. Could be he is guilty --would be nice to at least now know who really did it. Anyone see him on news today? he looked like a pervert of some sort.

He's a very strange fellow. My first thought was Lee Harvey Oswald--same facial structure, slight build, etc. Then one of the commentators mentioned the same thing.
But you know how they say that you can tell by a person's eyes if he's lying? This guy would make a statement, like "I was there when she died," then look sideways at people to see if they're buying it. I can't wait to hear more about this "solved" case.
I was also thinking today about the Dr. Phil show where he had the mothers who doll up their little girls for those danged beauty pageants. There was a tie-in, someone mentioned, today to his seeing Jonbenet in beauty pageants. I wonder if those mothers realize the dangers they're putting their little girls in?

I think he may be just some wacko. Looks like Tony Perkins in Psycho to me. The girl's father claims he doesn't know him. The guy says he drugged her, but she didn't have any drugs in her system. Whole thing's pretty weird.

I think he is a nut job too. The DNA will be the answer, I hope.
I was hoping it was him when the story broke, but my hope is dwindling as more info comes in.
As far as beauty pageants are concerned, I am not in favor of parading young children dressed and made up as adults. Unfortunately it is a big thing down South. People start their babies from 6 months old in beauty pageants down here.

Shifty eyes no straight answer except to say he is not innocent. Infatuated with her from reading up on the case. Today they said he revealed facts unknown to public.
He looks queer as a 3 dollar bill to me. LOL Perkins was that way in real life. I think he looks like Oswald for sure. Maybe he was high on opium when he was on camera. Weird as Hades.

I agree, irked. Weird as can be. Do you suppose he worked with someone on the inside on this deed? I would hate to think that. Evidently some of the things he said do not jibe with the facts, like how she actually died. Good golly.

No its not O.K. to fry this guy for Ramsey if he didn't do it. Why because the real Murder/Sex offender will still go free.
Should they fry this guy heck no. That would be too easy for him. Just put him in a Federal Pen with BUBBA until he dies its cheaper and his punishment will be greater. Plus he will most likely be dead before he can exhaust death sentence appeals.
Let the boys already in Prison bring him justice.

Is it just me or did anyone else notice little boobies under that buttoned up shirt. Maybe he went to Thialand for harmone injections and sex change. He is too skinny to have little boobies.

What gets me is how CNN and Fox are making such big deals about what he ate and that he flew business. The only thing that's surprised me so far, is that he hasn't been handcuffed.

I thought he was a 15 minute famer after seeing him but it is just getting weirder by minute. Did you see the hand writing analist say he thought he wrote the note? He was on Nancy Grace last night. Too strange for sure. I will only believe it if the palm print matches and or the DNA.

Yeah, stranger and stranger! A high school yearbook he signed for a fellow student 'way back when had intials something like "S B T C", which meant Still . . . the conqueror. The ransom note he wrote had that same set of initials. How could Patsy Ramsey or anyone in that house have known to put that in the note, I ask.
I want to amend what I said above. There's no proof that Karr wrote that ransom note. Should have said the "ransom note someone wrote."

You're right, it's worth reading. I'm aware of thinking often of all those parents who are doing that eroticizing of their little girls in beauty pageants and wishing they could get the picture that it's harmful on several fronts. I'm tending to cheer on the TV folks who criticize such parenting and wanting it to sink in.
Sometimes I think that behavior like Patsy's was close to abuse. . . .
So many of those mothers are trying to live through their daughters, using them, really.

I can't agree, Roadsmith. I thought Prof's article was bizarre but typical in a blame-the-victim way. As Maggie said, beauty pageants are big in the south. To many they seem outdated and corny but they still happen. Does this mean the parents are secretly trying to catch the attention of pedophiles by continuing? Does putting lipstick on a child mean the parent is looking for trouble? Isn't it really the perpetrator that's to blame for turning every innocent thing into something sick and perverted? Actually, I sensed the writer had a few issues of his own and was trying to justify them by saying everyone felt the same way about the Ramsey case.

My take on it is that parents HAVE to know there are perverts out there--who are attending and watching those bizare pageants, and who therefore ARE exposing their daughters to the perverts. Would they take them down to the X-rated part of town and let them walk up and down the sidewalk in those provocative outfits? I think not.
There's nothing wrong with little girls growing up the normal way, not learning that their sole value in life is how they look. Fake teeth, cheek implants, my God. I honestly call that stuff perverted.

As much as I agree with you Roadsmith, that Beauty Pageants are obscene, and oft times seem to fulfill the needs of the parents rather than the children...
I've heard to often in the past where victims are blamed for the crimes against them.
Example.. if she wasn't dressed in that mini skirt and revealing top, she wouldn't have been raped... she was asking for it... if the girls didn't parade themselves in skimpy clothing etc.. etc... Or how is a man to be blamed when the 14 year old looks and dresses like a 20 year old... It becomes all to easy to blame the victim rather than the criminals who can't control themselves and commit the crimes.
Women today shouldn't have to be covered from head to toe so as to not invite abuse. On the other hand.. we are going in the wrong direction imo..encouraging our young girls to feel that they are sexual objects above all else..and that their worth is judged on how close they can look like barbie dolls.
