That's what I heard last night... not by much but he is ahead of Bush.
And speaking of the little Bush weasel, did anyone catch him speaking to that group of Senior Citizens? I just caught snippets but heard him say this quote: "When you hear me say 'prescription drugs for Senior Citizens', I'm just enough of a plain-talking fellow to mean what I'm saying." What the H@LL does THAT mean??? Oh pleeeeeeeez, if there is a God, don't give us that Quayle knock-off as President. I'd sooner vote for Homer Simpson! LOL

fritzdick, you must be referring to a different George W. We're talking about the spoiled little rich kid who, if it weren't for his Daddy would be right now saying "You want some fries with that", instead of attempting to embarrass this country by representing it.
W stands for "Who wants another line?"
lol

I just couldn't force myself to vote for either Bush or Gore....no, just can't do it. Won't do it!!! No...no..no...no...no!!!
Ralph Nader will have my vote.
Wish they'd let ALL the canidates in the debates....not just the two major parties. Will there ever be an election where some party other than the Republican or Democratic party win? I hope I live to see it.
Edited to type live and not life...maybe by then I can spell too?

Did anyone catch Gore on Oprah yesterday? Got really good reviews. Bush is going to be on next week.
I heard a shrink talking about his speech pattern, his confusion, using wrong words, etc. She thinks he has a brain disorder(I didn't write it down and too long to remember)She said she thought people were wrong to blame it on drugs, but that drugs did make it worse.
She was very good and explained each symptom separately and all the signs that lead her to believe he had this disorder. It is either caused by genetics or a head trauma as a child. One of the big indicators is ADD and he apparently has that.
She thinks he is a good person but not capable of being president because of his mental dificiencies.

I am in the same boat as LindaK. My vote this November is going to Ralph Nader.
Dubya is too damn dumb, and I wouldn't trust Gore to wipe snot from my child's nose. Plus, they are both corporate prostitutes, to boot.
I refuse to do the 'less of two evils' thing anymore. As long as voters keep settling, the parties will keep offering us these wretched candidates.

Chococake:
I hope your referring to Bush.
I saw the Gore interview and while I favor neither candidate over the other right
now I thought Gore interview went quite well.
Being a Texan I would like to favor Baby Bush but I saw first hand some of the dirty
underhanded adds that elected him Governor
here.I just don't buy his current Mr. Nice Guy routine after that.
I'm still not sure where I stand but I'm working on it.

Yes, of course, The Bush Boy. Sorry I should have put his name in that paragraph.
I saw that RAT on a program this morning. They did it in regular speed then in slow motion then they froze it. What a joke! Bush Boy said he was going to revamp his campaign. If this is what he meant he is a bigger fool then we thought.

Here's a good one:
"This is a world that is much more uncertain than the past. In the past we were certain, we were certain it was us versus the Russians in the past. We were certain, and therefore we had huge nuclear arsenals aimed at each other to keep the peace. That's what we were certain of. ... You see, even though it's an uncertain world, we're certain of some things. We're certain that even though the 'evil empire' may have passed, evil still remains. We're certain there are people that can't stand what America stands for. ... We're certain there are madmen in this world, and there's terror, and there's missiles and I'm certain of this, too: I'm certain to maintain the peace, we better have a military of high morale, and I'm certain that under this administration, morale in the military is dangerously low."—Albuquerque, N.M., the Washington Post, May 31, 2000

He used the word 'rat' subliminally in some of his advertisements, as a way to mock Gore and his Medicare/Prescription drug platform.

HE DID WHAT!!!!!
Pardon the screeching but this guy is just a dirty low down ...dare I say... RAT!!
His behavior in the Governors race was really sleazy and then when his opponant tried to fight back he decided they needed to run a clean campaign.
Subliminal messages...that is beyond belief that a candidate for president would resort to that. And he questions Gore's integrity.
Yuck...

In his defense (and I'm not exactly a fan), those ads are not produced by him. It was an ad run by the RNC (not even his campaign, technically). There was a close-up of the word "beaurocrats" (sp?) so that the word "rats" appeared on the screen for a fraction of a second. This wasn't a conspiracy hatched by Dubya at all.

I just got done reading the stories about this and I still think it stinks.
If you had seen some of the ads he got critisized for while running for governor and knew how his dad's Willie Horton adds helped him win you'd have to admit that he would be a damnded fool not to scrutinize every one that was to be aired.
So he is either a creep or a fool I guess, take your pick.

Only fitting that Gore would be much loved here, since he invented the internet! And may I add, Gore's daddy was a rich tobacco farmer and senator from Tennesse, that signed bills into law establishing 1.Nathan Bedford Forrest Day. Good thing, him having founded the clan! 2. Requiring the Confederate flag to be flown at the State Capitol on that day. You see, they come from similar backgrounds, but that never seems to be brought up...
As a native Texan, I will always recall the day Bush beat the pants off of Ann Richards with a certain fondness.
Here it is:
Bush- Smaller govrnment, lower taxes
Gore- Bigger government, more welfare, higher taxes
That's my take, anyway

I'm not thrilled with either man. Though Bush gets my hackles rising faster and higher. Nor am I convinced that, even if he had a snowball's chance in hell of winning, Ralph Nader would be a good President. He's a good fact-finder & whistle-blower, but...
In fact, there are very few that really inspire trust &/or respect in that regard.
