a QVC watcher/buyer? I've been a QVC'er since 1987, and proud of it. QVC is the best thing to come along since computers. The jewelry, the clothes, the housewares, the Sears Craftsman tools. I can buy stuff by pushing a few telephone buttons, laying in bed in my jammies. And if you use automated ordering, you don't have to even talk to anyone! Yep - QVC - love it, love it, love it.

I was a huge QVC'er until eBay came along. Now I can get some of the exact same items from eBay for much less money. Only occasionally watch it now when they have their special shows on.

Yes I watch QVC and buy from QVC. Not as much recently, but when I setting up this apartment I bought lots of stuff. I have so much T-Fal some pieces are in the hall closet and some are in the bedroom...

Halloween stuff, a talking Christmas tree, telephones, deep fryer, paper shredder are just some items.

I even was interviewed "on the air" by Dave Venable (not sure about the spelling of Venable) when I was ordering an electric stand mixer...

Barry, somehow I knew you would be QVC savvy! AND you got on the air! I'm SO jealous! I almost got on the air once with Kathy Levine, and once with Jeff Hewson. Both times the item sold out and I didn't get on. From then on I started using automated ordering. I just couldn't stand the possibility of future rejection.

Edited because of the medication.

Muriel,

My wife & I have purchased through Q.V.C. before, as well as H.S.N. (Home Shopping Network). As stated above, however, with the advent of eBay, our "in home" purchasing habits have changed, considerably. I also took note, When Q.V.C. started offering collectable coins (an area where I am more than somewhat familiar), I couldn't help but notice the prices, advertised as "such a steal", when in fact, the pricing compared, IMHO, to "highway robbery". I couldn't help but think surely this must carry over into other items, as well. For us to purchase off that network, now, the item has to be truly unique, in nature.

Muriel,

I'm an HSN gal myself though I have bought a few things from QVC.

Kind of funny story to tell. We went to see a friend in the hospital and her roomate was the wife of a jeweler. She noticed a bracelet I had on and commented on how pretty it was. She then asked me where I got it. I said HSN. She informed me in no uncertain terms that I should never buy stuff from there, it was junk. A few minutes she again commented on how pretty the bracelet was. My husband who doesn't approve of my home shopping habits was even amused.

My grandmother has at least one room in her house that is stacked from floor to ceiling with QVC boxes, many of them unopened. She's addicted, and although she tries to keep it hidden, we all know about her addiction...
