My cousin always sends me the heart tuggers.
The chain letters that are suppose to collect
email address's and then a company or foundation will pay the the person or child
So much per email to help with their medical
Problem.I get a knee jerk reaction to these emails and don't forward them. Then feel guilty about being so cold about my not send
ing anything out to others. So this morning,
When I found another one of those emails,From
the same kid,Who didnt have long to live,And
it was the same letter from a year ago.I decided this "kid" was going to out live me.I went to the Make a wish foundation web site,
And sure enough,Its a racket.Your emails are being harvested and sold in blocks(My guess)
Now Im a little angry,Because of the emotional roller coaster of these emails. Can you say SUCKER?Its written on my forehead.

Makes more sense that the note on your forehead should read "FORMER sucker".

Congratulations for investigating and deciding not to act on this sort of BS anymore.

You know, it's not just the gimmick emails that get me. We happen to be on the mailing lists of a couple of well meaning relatives. In the past two days we've received a couple of tear jerker type emails that are meant to be forwarded to 5 of your best friends.

I finally composed a tactful but stern reply in the hopes of having my email address removed from their mailing lists. Time will only tell if my message was received and understood.

If people really want to make these bulk mailings, I wish they would educate themselves about the wonders of Blind Carbon Copy and supressed mailing lists.

Meya,You may be gettng those tear jerkers from the same circle of people I do.Some of those emails have all addresses(email),50 to 100 ,Its mindboggling. The stories I dont mind reading and some I enjoy,Its the ones who want you to mail to the one you love and back to the person who sent it.Or all your friends. That is time consuming.Another harvester is the contests on line. You can win a car and cash by giving your friends and relatives email addys to the promoter. An't this fun?

My mother is constantly emailing me about "you can get free clothing from the Gap if you forward this to 10 friends" or "MSN will pay you to forward this email" etc. etc. I've begged her to stop but no amount of factual info on these bogus emails dims her hope of quick and easy money. Sigh.
