I've recently encountered numerous problems with Exchange Path. I signed up via Auction Watch's free listing day in December. I received notice from Auction Watch that I had a refund coming from that free listing day and a seperate email would come later stating I was also receiving the $10.00 bounus for signing up with Exchange Path. I thought fine. I then added them to my payment services in my eBay auction ads. A short while later I checked my account and there was the refund from free listing day, but not the $10.00 bonusfor signing up. At that point I would wait and withdraw it later on. Twoards the end of December, a customer purchased numerous items from me and paid with Exchange Path. All was not right with the world after that.....
The nightmare began. At one point in the first week of January this year I went to check on my account. To my amazement I was informed I would have to upgrade, use a credit card for security purposes and change my password. If I did not use a valid credit card they would not disburse any funds. They stated they do not in any way send checks or money orders in the mail. To my disgust I complied. My customer had not yet made the deposit into my account due to difficulties using their system. I waited a few days and then tried checking my account again.
When I logged in, not really paying attention I used my old password. It was not accepting it. So, I thought maybe it's case sensitve. I tried a few different ways. It had been awhile since I had logged in. All of a sudden it said in vivid bold red type...ACCOUNT SUSPENDED. I thought..what!!! I went to my files and found my faux pas. I returned to the Exchange Path site and tried my new password I had created when I upgraded my account. NO Go.
I've been emailing them eveyday since then. I finally found information via other eBay users thru the community board. This has been, as I've learned a very sore spot for Exchange Path account holders. I was told if I had not witdrawn my money out by now, it was too late. Some have gotten their money back, though it took baggering emails, phone calls and then weeks for the checks to arrive in the mail. I have heard some have lost hundreds and even more. They only owe me a mere $66.08, but thats still my money and it's the principal of good business ethics. I realize there are numerous shady deals out there and this is probably one of them, but I just had to state my distaste over this matter!
Has anyone had a experience with Exchange Path in the past few months? Do they owe you money? Have you been able to contact them? Has your situation been resolved to your satisfaction? Do you have any information you would like to share with others? How are your customers dealing with this situation? Has Auction Watch been helpful in resolving any conflicts with Exchange Path? Anything I missed?
