2001 is three weeks old. How many of you made New Year Resolutions and have allready failed to keep them?
I've broken mine allready. Gave up the smokes and lasted four days.
Shame, Bob. Shame!

Well I've only hit my hubby over the head once since New Year and I only yell at the kids' 2 times a week so I am improving. BUT I am still on my diet (well most of the time), and I'm still not smoking, but I gave that up before Christmas does that count as a New Years Resolution.
So after all that does it mean that we are ready to go in Hinches Shame File.
Shame Shame Shame.

I wanted to ride my bike more this year, but I have a ways to go before I can even get on the road. But with the way the weather is going, I might be able to start early this year!

BOB - Don't give up. I made the same resolution several times and and never lasted more than a day until New Years Day 1990. It's now been over 11 years since I've had a cigarette. It's hard but it can be done.

My husband had many false starts, but one day he did quit for good.
He used the patches (Except at night, 'cause they gave him nightmares).
I quit too, but I was pregnant, so I had more motivation. I don't think that will work for you.

My true resolution was to quit putting off going to the dentist. Well, I did. Now on Feb. 2 I have to get two teeth pulled. I don't think I'll be making any more resolutions. I'm a baby when it comes to pain, I wish I had let mine "fall by the wayside".

I don't make resolutions anymore. I didn't like the negativity associated with failing.
You'll do better the next time

hammerchick...You will find that dentistry has come a long way. Having a tooth pulled isn't nearly as traumatic as it used to be.
I go to the dentist every 6 months. It was always the novocain that frightened me. Once had a dentist who would give me a tranquilizer to take an hour before having a tooth filled.
As luck would have it, 4 days before my daughter's wedding in 10/99, I had to make the decision whether to have a problem tooth that I had been nursing for 2 weeks pulled or take a chance that I could get through the wedding with some medication.
The wedding was going to be out of state, far away from my dentist for an emergency. Either way, I was sure I was going to have a swollen face for the wedding and I just cried and cried at my bad luck.
My memories of having a tooth pulled were not good, so I took my husband along for support. Could not believe it...it was over in a flash and pain free!!! With medication and a soft diet, my face was back to normal by rehearsal dinner time.
