The Great Moral Compass, Bush, Jr., tried to do in your children this week. He reversed an executive decision by Clinton that called for the inspection of Beef for Salmonella poisoning. Just as his supporters predicted, he used his Moral Judgement and decided that the profits of the Beef Industry were more important than your kid's life.

However, the Senate Democrats and Consumer groups pressured The Great Moral Compass to rescind his prior reversal today. The Beef Industry is on TV and is furious with the reversal, saying that they PAID BUSH MILLIONS OF DOLLARS and expect him to do for them over the interests of our nation's school children. "We are certain that Bush will reach a compromise on this issue", meaning that they expect him to compromise the issue!

Ah! What a JOY it would be to be a Conservative and a Republican! So Proud of the job that their elected official is doing them in with. Heck, killing off your kids with Salmonella poisoning is better than having some knee-jerk Liberal Clinton in office trying to PROTECT YOUR KIDS -- isn't it?

I read this in the paper this morning, and of course my first thought was, What can he be thinking? What Borillar is referring to is the beef used in the school lunch programs. The Beef Industry wants to do away with the salmonella testing in favor of irradiation of the meat. Irradiation is not used on the beef you buy at the grocery stores because consumers aren't likely to buy what they perceive as "radioactive" meat (even though it isn't). Is there anything this dumbbush won't do for an almighty buck?

Bush is methodically reversing anything he can that Clinton did before leaving office. And, he doesnt care what it is. Tainted beef that might kill kids or destroying natural habitats, it doesnt matter. And all this within such a short time. By the time his 4 years are up, we will have no ozone layer, be at war with countries, have no wildlife left and the total numbers of people living in the US down from food poisoning and lack of clean air.

I predict that Bush won't last four years at this rate of outrages he's perpetrating on the American citizens and the peoples of this planet. I think that a citizen's revolution is coming and I am afraid that it's going to be armed to the teeth when they march on Washington to arrest the SOB.

[b]KatyD:[/d] Can you please provide a URL for your statement? All of the news reports that I viewed and on the Internet didn't mention irradiation.

I dont know what the big deal is about the apology China wants. Why not say "pardon me", or "so sorry this happened" and give them what they want? Its common decency to say "oh, excuse me, so sorry" when bumping into someone else. It doesnt mean anyone is in the wrong. If Gore were in office, the men and women would already have been home and BOTH countries would be scouring in unison for the missing chinese pilot so he can be laid to rest.
