With very little fanfare, B & H has removed all auctions which attempted to capitalize on the world's tragedy, AND donated 10% of all August revenues to the Red Cross.

Way to go B&H, I like their no nonsense approach. With this Auctions for America fiasco on Ebay, I am going to concentrate more on my bargain and haggle listings for the holiday season.

Anyone with half a brain would only donate to the RED CROSS or a reputable Charity...I am sorry but I would never donate or bid on any auction that stated proceeds go to a fund. There are too many sick crooks out there!
I went to my local volunteer Fire Department and donated funds, because I know they are Honest.. Instead of having an auction stating that you will donate the funds to a Charity...save the time and just donate it anyway!..JMHO!

I agree with Beecandles 100%. Why risk a scam artist keeping the funds when a direct donation to the Red Cross is very simple.
