I am really, really fed up with Paypal, and their bank,XCom "which they know nothing about". I have downloaded $300 from my Paypal account to my Xcom account using the same VERIFIED link to my account that I have used many time. I sell on Ebay, buy my stamps by mail and the Post Office Picks up at my home.

I was notified by Xcom yesterday that they bounced a check to the Post Office for $145. A check that I had paid for stamps by mail. They not only bounced it, but they are charging me $25, at this point, for doing so. According to them, I have a current balance of $16. I have downloaded $300 into that account from Paypal. They have rejected each one. THEY DON'T RECOGNIZE MY ACCOUNT NUMBER! Mind you, this is not just an account number, but the account number THEY verified. Since doing so, as I am sure everyone is familiar with the process of the pull-down Menu, and clicking the Bank you want the trasfer to.

Yesterday, I spent a long, long time on hold for Xcom, trying to straighten it out, only to be cut off when the lady I finally reached, put me on hold. I didn't have another hour to sit on hold and hoped she would call me back, she had asked for my phone number.

Last night I called again. Got ahold of a nice woman, but she told me their Computers have been "really messing up" and they were supposed to get them fixed today, and could I call back with my problem this evening. How do I get this straight with Xcom? I not only should not have to pay them anything, they owe me. I plan on closing both account, but what do you want to bet that my account would be frozen in trying to do so?

Today I was notified by Paypal that another transfer has been rejected. This is a bunch of crap. Lousey way to do business. Just got off the phone with Paypal....Now they are trying to blame ME. Said when I changed the Bank Account Number. Excuse me Paypal, but when was I supposed to do that? Was it before or after you verified it?

Now I am sitting here waiting for my Post Office Check to bounce the second time. I think the $300 I have attempted to download, would have more than covered the check I wrote.....After I had downloaded.

WOW !!!
Same Here!!!
In fact, up until about a week ago, I have been using only one account number, the only one on file. Suddenly, that number was no good! Suddenly I have the same account number but with an extra 2 numbers on it (turns out I needed the extra 2 numbers according to the bank)???? Now why would the first number (one with the 2 #;s missing always have worked fine before-and verified) suddenly not work...a full number appear...and now even the new number, which was verified with the bank via phone call and via Paypal, Suddenly not work ? Boy, I just can't get any number to work!!! It seems that there is no way to get my money...It just sits in limbo land transfering back and forth between paypal and my bank!
Damon, is going to check into it for me! But, it seems that it is another growing problem here!

In fairness to Paypal, a couple of hours after posting, I got a call from Paypal. The same woman who I had spoken to apparently stayed on it to see what she could figure out. Of course being loyal to her employer, she didn't say Paypal had made an error, but she did say that this is the first time she has heard of this happening. I told her if it could happen with me, they may be in for a landslide. In the end, all she could offer me was the same numbers I had verified the Xcom account with, the one that had mysteriously changed and deleted on of the 0's, and gave me the name of someone I can call on Monday to see if I can re-verify over the phone and be able to transfer money into that account again. Although I do appreciate this lady's effort, that will not help me to keep from bouncing the Post Office check the second time, assuming the put it though the second time.

Paypal if you are listening, you should wise up and stop treating the people that your existence depends on, like idiots. Why is it so hard to admit there are problems with the system???? Do you have any idea how insulting it is to ask your clients to blindly accept the fault of your obvious error? Please tell me how I could have changed a Bank Number that you VERIFIED? Did I change it and you verified it all over again? Does it not matter that your partner whom you have merged with is now charging me fees for something that is your error? And what do I tell the Post Office? The Bank made an error? Am I really to accept the passing comment that I changed the number and it should be ***? It is the insult as much as the money.

FYI--The banks and post office are closed on Monday for Columbus Day. You probably won't get much done tomorrow.
