Today is the day PP is supposed to start counting down towards the $500 limit on Personal Accounts. I checked my account and I don't see the "counter" they mentioned. Does anyone know where on the screen it is going to show up? I was hoping to get a few more PP payments in under the wire last night, but it didn't happen!

No counter for me either. Personally, I wouldn't think they would want a person to know how close they are getting to the $500 - they want you to go over. I'm at $0.00 and hope to stay there. I will still accept PayPal, but I quit promoting PP about 10 days ago and removed their logo from all auctions and removed that option from my EOA mailings. No complaints or queries so far. And 11 of 15 auctions have been paid by ExchangePath for which I had just signed up and started offering. The other 4 are sending MOs. So, I'm running over 70% ExchangePath from the gitgo. That's as high as PP ever was. Hmmm!

BigBux - that is very interesting. I've been including EP in my auctions but no bites. Can you explain how it works for you? Do you promote it in your auctions [ie, mention the sign up bonus?] Do buyers email to say they are signing up in order to pay you, or do they just do it? I can't tell how many people use the service. thanks!

No promotion - I just started including EP's logo button and included EP among the payment options (while deleting PayPal) in the item's description. I also am offering PayPlace, but no bites on that one so far. Even months ago (February, I think), I did not mention sign-up bonuses when I started with PayPal. The bottom line is that I think that a lot of people just want a way to pay by credit card and they don't care which service they use. The buyer saves MO fees, time, and gas - and it results in prompt shipping.

BigBux - thanks again. Sounds like maybe what I need to do is leave the PayPal option off my auctions and see what people say.

I have put in my auctions "paypal accepted from verified accounts only - I am verified. Pay with the free exchangepath service and get $10 off your first purchase. Exchangepath also accepts Amex." I am getting more EP payments and less PP payments. My goal is to ditch PP completely unless they wake up and fly right.
