I decided to check out Exchangepath after reading the threads here about the problems with the paypal fees. (I have been on vacation for the summer and just came back and got a shock about PayPal...sigh) and I've run into a problem.
I followed all the registration steps then got thier email and activated my account. When I went to register a debit card, so that I can get my money when a customer sends me some, I got an error message that my credit card is "invalid" WTH!
I tried inputting the info as many ways as I can think of with no better results. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to correct it? I sent them an email but sheesh...if all of these EP companies operate the same way,I am not hopefull of having an answer for a while and would like to start offering this service in my listings.
I fear though, that if sellers are having difficulties signing up, potential buyers will get fed up quick if they also run into these registration problems.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

There have been several posts recently about people having trouble registering a debit card. And it seems to be all of the P-P payment services. It seems that some debit cards work and others don't (who knows why?).

"Effective October 25, 2000 ExchangePath will no longer offer a $10 enrollment bonus."
Just so you know.

I was told the some cards belong to a system that allows companies to post credits to them, others do not. Maybe only cards that can work both ways (accept and send) are being allowed.

Well good luck getting any help or even an answer! I have been trying for a week to get my email address corrected so I can receive my first exchangepath payment. All I get is the canned email telling me what time they received my questions. THIS IS NOT GOOD!!

i'm not convinced that this service is any good. i signed up to it so i could complete an auction transaction of over $1000. exchangepath insta-suspended my account when i tried to withdraw some of it. so far i give this service very low ratings. anyone else have a similar problem?
paypal may have a fee, but it is fast, secure, and cheap.

>>Paypal is fast, secure and cheap.<<
Paypal is fast, on those rare occasions when the site is up and running, it is cheap only if you have a personal account and it is never secure.
Exchangepath is faster and cheaper but a lot less secure.
Right now Western Union's MOneyzap is the only free credit card service that seems secure.

I went to check out the site, on their FAQ I found the following Q&A:
Q:What types of cards does ExchangePath accept?
A:You may use the following credit cards: Visa® card, MasterCard® card, JCB® card and Diners Club International® card.
You may use the following debit cards: Cards with the Visa and MasterCard logo.
I guess the debit card in our mind is not the one on their system! I personally don't like the sound of the service..

I used exchange path to recieve money on thanksgiving. I recieved over $1000 and immediately tried to withdraw it. When I never got my money I tried logging in and found out that I was suspended. This started a countless number of emails which all asked simple questions about why I was suspended and when I will get my money. I still have not got a straight answer and do not know where to go from here. I recieved the money as payment from an auction, and had already sent the item before I realized that I was suspended. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please email me at [email protected]
If anyone else has gone through this and has advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to CANCEL my ExchangePath membership (which includes Credit Card information)... but it won't let me because I don't have a Credit Card on file. Catch-22!

Is Exchangepath putting 10 cent holds on my credit card? I'm wondering because I have 2, I called the bank they said one should go through later tonight and one is dated for the 14th. I didn't agree to the 10 cent charges, I have received payments, not sent any money. Anyone know what's going on? Please let me know if you have had this happen to you. It seems like it takes about a week just to get the money out I withdrawl to put on my credit card, Billpoint is Much faster.
