I read the post (if this was the correct one) and all credit cards have a "charge" of 1.00 placed against them. This charge drops off and it only verifies that the card is good.
International users need to confirm their credit cards a little differently and they get get the confirmation information from their credit card company if they can't wait (we don't, however, condone contacting the company, as they may not be overly fond of it).
