This email just went out, but I wanted to be sure that you were aware of the increases.
We are pleased to inform you that as part of our PayPal Preferred program we have given you higher Debit Card spending limits. We have raised your daily limit for purchases from $1,000 to $3,000, and your daily ATM cash withdrawal limit from $300 to $400. Now you can pay for all of your auction inventory with your PayPal balance and receive 1.5% cashback!
Higher Debit Card spending limits and cashback are just two of the benefits you receive by participating in the PayPal Preferred rewards program. You also receive additional chargeback protection -- the $10 chargeback fee is waived for our Preferred sellers, and of course you're also fully protected from chargebacks for all transactions that qualify for PayPal's Seller Protection Policy.
Additionally, we've created a special golden auction logo for all our PayPal Preferred sellers to use in their eBay™ listings. It's a Smart Logo that automatically changes from a Referral Link to Instant Purchase when your auction closes, and it's only available to Preferred sellers.
In addition to your 1.5% cashback, we hope you'll enjoy your increased Debit Card spending limits, enhanced chargeback protection, and Preferred auction logos. It's just our way of thanking you for joining the PayPal Preferred program, and for helping to make PayPal the world's #1 online payment service.
PayPal Updates
eBay "Bug" Warning
Be careful that eBay's apparent "bugs" with the "Sell Your Item" and "Relist Your Item" processes don't inadvertently cause you to lose your PayPal Preferred benefits! We've spoken with hundreds of sellers who have had undesired Billpoint™ logos mistakenly inserted into their auctions because of these problems. Although advertising another online payment service is against the terms of the PayPal Preferred program, given the nature of this eBay "bug" problem we're extending the grace period through the end of this week (July 7, 2001).
PayPal strongly recommends that you check all of your current and future auctions for undesired Billpoint logos so no "bug" costs you your PayPal Preferred benefits. Some sellers who have contacted us report that closing their dormant Billpoint account causes the logos to be removed from their live auctions, including those with bids, although we cannot confirm that this is the case.
