I have a question for Paypal!!
I recently have been involved in a transaction with a seller who want send the merchandise and won't respond via email or phone. Of course, i filed a complaint on paypal, but don't imagine there will be any funds available in their account to recoup. If I do a chargeback via my credit card, I may lose my paypal account. Why is that? I did not do anything wrong, it was the seller. Close their account and actually you should be able to charge them for it. I am stuck here, with deciding do I want to lose my paypal account or do I want to lose my money. I can't figure out this line of thinking. PAYPAL please respond to this.
Actions can be taken on accounts that have excessive chargebacks filed by the buyer, as it could be an indicator of buyer fraud. I don't foresee an issue if you don't have a history of filing chargebacks.
I would let the Buyer Complaint Process work before a chargeback is filed. Chargeback rights are generally allowed up to 60 days after the transaction (this is determined by the credit card company utilized).
