Hi all,
Although PayPal is disappointed in eBay's refusal to accommodate PayPal's participation in the Auctions for America drive, PayPal has decided that we will allow users participating in the Auction for America Program to continue with their PayPal Preferred benefits during the 100 day period. We do, however, stress that we are willing to particpate, as well as absorb fees, in order to support this noble cause. The normal criteria for PayPal Preferred still applies for regular auction listings, but users can list Billpoint in their AFA auctions.

Damon - could you have the Paypal Website Policy Update include a copy of this? Some PP Preferred sellers are concerned that since it doesn't say anything on the PP website, that its necessarily not true.

Paypal is showing they are not only better than billpoint but a much bigger person to allow this, even when ebay is going about this marketing scam. Ebay is getting to be a monopoly - microsoft was blamed for this but they have helped the computer user immensely by providing quality programs, but ebay is helping themselves and billpoint when they won't even consider letting paypal be a part of this. Very sad.

Paypal accepting payment for free. Reminds me of the good old days when they were free for ever.
a4a is ebay's offering on ebay's platform and at ebay's expense. A seller may or may not chose to participate. How very generous of paypal to offer to offer a service that is not necessary and how very generous of them not to strip paypal preferred status from sellers that are donating time & merchandise.
