I JUST TRIED TO USE HTML PAYPAL BUTTON SECTION AND PAYPAL DOES NOT ALLOW US TO CHARGE SHIPPING PER EACH ITEM BUT RATHER BASED ON A PECENTAGE OF TOTAL DOLLAR COLLECTED. IF YOUR SELLING LETS SAY A 20 CENT ITEM AND THE CUSTOMER USES THE BUY IT NOW BUTTON YOU MUST CHARGE THE CUSTOMER A PERCENTAGE OF THE GROSS SALE BUT NOT WHAT IT ACTUALLY COSTS TO SHIP. IN ORDER TO SHIP WITH DELIVERY CONFIRMATION SHIPPING RATES SOME TIME EXCEED THE FLAT PERCENTAGE RULE THAT YOU GUYS ARE TRYING TO IMPOSE ACROSS THE BOARD. PLEASE ADVISE HOW THIS IS TO BENEFIT SELLERS?

Wow I had the same problem on my website. I called and was in so many words "tough toenails" this is what most customers had requested. When I checked my links they all had "0" shipping charges. I told paypal that shipping is based on weight not % OF cost. The only remedy I could find was to go to html code and change price to include shipping. Man what a mess. Plus they have dropped the item number which I use to get specific ID of item sold.

This feature defeats it purpose as if people want to buy several of one item, it charges shipping for each item rather then allowing us to discount the order based on size.

They can make new logos but can't add a simple manual shipping charge to their cart feature for websites

Your right, I just checked my site and the shipping charges are there until you go to Check Out and are re-directed.
They had to just SCREW that up today as it was working last night.
If I can't collect proper shipping then I don't need and can't use PayPal.
I never had any problems until PayPal decided to do their own Shopping Cart.
I wonder if PayPal would not charge any fees for using PayPal, Why don't you have your "Rocket Scientists" work on that?

Use Mal's!!! (http://www.mals-e.com) Simply the best FREE shopping cart that I have seen. Works seamlessly with paypal and it is totally configurable. I use it on a few sites and I love it. Check out http://www.windtunnelracing.com as one example.

I have tried to contact PayPal twice now about this and get no response. I also contaced EmartCart as it will show the shipping but then when it goes to PayPal for payment, The shipping is not there. They responded and do not know what is wrong as it is with PayPal and not EmartCart.
There is something with PayPal when it is transfered to them that screws up the whole thing.

Hi,

Can one of the users posting here contact me at [email protected]? Tech support is trying to re-produce the error you are experiencing.

There is no error. It's the new shipping scale. UPS and USPS charge by weight not cost.
I may have a $20 item that cost $4.60 to ship and another $20 item that will cost $9.50 to ship so your new fancy scale doesn't work for me

On top of that any customers that are using your cart and are not aware of this change and make a sale on their website the shipping charge will be blank zero nothing free shipping. I would have thought you would let your customers know of this change prior to making it written in stone.

Shopping cart still not working properly. If you uncheck the box for old type shipping, There is no plce to enter the shiping cost that you want to charge. Example: If I have an item for $50 and want to charge $10 for shipping, and have another for $50 and want to charge $25 for shipping, This dows not allow you to do that.
