I had an email address. I knew I would be changing DSL service and got a hotmail email address. I opened a new PayPal account with my new hotmail address but it would not let me put my bank account to transfer the funds too because it was already used my another member. Of course, that was my other email address. So, I have 2 accounts now. One I collect the payments in. The other I transfer the payments to so I can withdraw them. This is getting old.
How can I get my knew email address to have my bank account?

Hi richierich,
PayPal accounts can have multiple email aliases attached to a single account, but you can't have more than one PayPal account attached to a bank account.
I would recommend closing the other PayPal account, which should free up the email alias for addition (under the account PROFILE) to the existing account.

I am afraid to do that because what if I can not link my same bank account to the second email address. Then I have no way to get my money without having a check issued to me.
HOW do I cancel the old account?

Would that free up the bank account? I really do not care about the old email address being freed up.
